MMR on Entertainment News- Malik Yoba

All is not well in the life of actor Malik Yoba. After getting the opportunity of a lifetime to appear on what might be the hottest show release in the last decade, Yoba has been given the axe. Malik was fired suddenly and surprisingly by Fox executives. According to Yoba, Director Lee Daniels called and told him what happened, and claimed that the Fox executives (who shall of course remain nameless) decided that someone needed to die in the season finale.

 As you may notice in the video (below), Yoba isn’t happy about being dropped from the show. In fact, he appears to be downright bitter about it.

*Things got very emotional on "The REAL" Wednesday morning (03-25-15) as the ladies discussed their past and not-so-past experiences with “mean girls” and bullying.

Personal stories were shared and the hosts were supposed to give advice on standing up to bullies, butTamar Braxton said she had no advice to give because she’s still affected by it as an adult. She broke down in tears thinking about her horrible experience in high school, and more recently, how people refer to her as a “Muppet.”

“People say it so much, sometimes I start to believe it,” she said through sobs. “I even asked [husband] Vince, I’m like, ‘Do I look like a muppet?'”

MMR News Break on Bobby Kristina & Family

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s cousin Jerod Brown was arrested Monday in Atlanta after he was pulled over by an officer who detected “the odor of marijuana” emitting from the vehicle. The news comes at a time when the “reality” of Bobbi Kristina’s condition is “sinking in” for the family.

Jerod reportedly told the officer that he had a Georgia license but did not have it with him at the time. He falsely represented himself to the police, saying that his name was Jahraim Wallace Reid, RadarOnlinereported, adding that officers later determined that his name was Jerod Wallace Brown-Carter. Jerod, who denied the presence of drugs in his vehicle, was arrested on charges of driving without a license. He also reportedly had an active warrant out of Gwinnett County, Georgia, stemming from an earlier arrest.

Jerod has actively spoken out about his sister’s condition in the past, holding his aunt Pat Houstonresponsible. Jerod also debuted his new single "#PrayForBK" last week, which was accompanied by a music video. In the new album, the 27-year-old, who goes by the stage name YF Kennedy, sings about the love he has for Bobbi Kristina.

*It’s looking like Jay Z might soon have to deal with claims that he’s the father of a 21-year-old 

love child by the name of Rymir Satterwaithe

However, Satterwaithe former guardian, Lillie Collie, tells Radaronline.com, “It is not about

the money at all.”

“This is about making sure that Jay Z is held responsible for the emotional damage that he has 

caused Rymir,”Collie tells Radar.

Since 2011, Collie explains, there have been “many people”working together to bring this case 

to justice.“We are not the only ones who have been fighting for this,” she says, referring to 

herself, Satterwaithe and his mother, Wanda, who allegedly had a steamy affair with Jay Z in

the early ’90s.

“There are a lot of people in the courts, in the legal system, and in the justice system that have 

gone out of their way to support this because they have compassion,” Collie adds.

The former volunteer neighborhood watchman acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of a blackFlorida teen lashed out at President Obama and said he feels no guilt in the racially charged case that galvanized the country. In a 13-minute video posted on the website of his lawyer, George Zimmerman says the Obama administration acted irresponsibly in publicly expressing empathy for the family of Trayvon Martin, who died in Feb. 26, 2012, in Sanford, Fla., during a scuffle with Zimmerman.

MMR on Entertainment news- Empire gets Sued

In response to a demand that it pay $5 million and cast several artists in the hit TV series Empire, Fox filed a trademark lawsuit on Monday seeking a declaration that it has every right to use the show's title.

A preemptive lawsuit holds risks, as the "Blurred Lines" verdict demonstrates, but on the other hand, Fox might wish to avoid another Glee, which ran into trademark trouble in the U.K. with a judge there basically allowing the owner of a comedy club to assert dominion. In this instance, Fox is suing Empire Distribution, Inc., which is identified as a California corporation that has not only come forward asserting rights to "Empire," "Empire Distribution" and "Empire Recordings" but has also in a demand letter claimed trademark dilution by tarnishment via a series that features "a label run by a homophobic drug dealer prone to murdering his friends."

Fox, of course, sees its Lee Daniels-created show about a feuding entertainment-industry family differently, especially now that it's a massive success, attracting 16.7 million same-day viewers for its season finale. The show has also spawned a soundtrack album that debuted on top of the Billboard 200 chart.

The executive producer of ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder took to Twitter Tuesday night to condemn the controversial Deadline column, "Pilots 2015: The Year of Ethnic Castings–About Time or Too Much of Good Thing?" The Golden Globe winner, like many stars, was outraged by columnist Nellie Andreeva's argument that TV casting has become too ethnically diverse.
