MMR on Ent News: Nick and Mariah

Nick Cannon is shutting down rumors that he's planning to use his divorce from Mariah Carey as material for his upcoming album. The Real Husbands of Hollywood star took to Twitter Monday to address Mally Mall's recent comments to TMZ that the album will contain "controversial" lyrics about his ex. "I will never say anything negative about Mariah Carey," he wrote. "We are forever a family rooted in love."

He continued: "I am always an open book but Personal matters are just that, 'Personal.' So please respect my family and respect the process."

"In other words," he added, "all you vultures and bottom feeders searching for a story can go #ChokeYourself #Ncredible"

While for a moment it seemed that Cannon and Carey's divorce after five years of marriage and two kids was verging on ugly, the estranged couple has been keeping it civil.

Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo embraces his father Mario after being re-election at the U.S. midterm race in New York, November 4, 2014.  (REUTERS/Lucas Jackson)Ever-eloquent Mario Cuomo, a son of Queens who rode his rhetorical gifts to three terms as New York governor and tantalized Democrats by flirting with a run for President, died Thursday. MMR on News around the world- Tension rises at a NYPD Funeral

Thousands of police officers, state troopers, sheriff's deputies and others from law enforcement agencies big and small across the country gathered at the New York City funeral of a slain officer killed with his partner in a brazen daytime ambush a week ago.

The sea of blue uniforms stretched for blocks outside the Christ Tabernacle Church in Queens on Saturday, as police helicopters flew above in a missing-man formation and Officer Rafael Ramos' body was carried by pallbearers in a casket draped in the New York Police Department flag. The NYPD estimates more than 20,000 officers attended.

"When an assassin's bullet targeted two officers, it targeted this city and it touched the soul of an entire nation," Vice President Joe Biden said in his eulogy. But the somber day, reminiscent of the bond New Yorkers shared after the Sept. 11 attacks and Superstorm Sandy, was not without tension. During the eulogy, a few hundred officers outside the church turned away from giant screens showing de Blasio, who has been harshly criticized by New York police union officials as a contributor to a climate of mistrust that preceded the killings of Ramos and his partner, Wenjian Liu. Sgt. Myron Joseph of the New Rochelle Police Department said he and fellow officers turned their backs spontaneously to "support our brothers in the NYPD."In a statement, de Blasio's spokesman said: "The Ramos and Liu families, our police department and our city are dealing with an unconscionable tragedy. Our sole focus is unifying this city and honoring the lives of our two police officers."In his eulogy, the mayor said hearts citywide were broken after the Dec. 20 shootings."

MMR around the Borough's- Two cops killed in Brooklyn

Authorities say cop killer wanted retaliation for Michael Brown, Eric Garner deaths

When is enough.... ENOUGH?? Do we save future lives by killing current ones because we are in our feelings?

The gunman who ambushed and murdered two NYPD officers as they sat in their squad car Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn vowed to kill police in a number of social media posts that vowed retaliation for the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, authorities said.

Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, wrote on his Instagram account: "I'm putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours, let's take 2 of theirs," hours before the killings, two city officials with direct knowledge of the case confirmed for The Associated Press. He used the hashtags Shootthepolice RIPErivGardner (sic) RIPMikeBrown. The post also included an image of a silver handgun and the message, "This may be my final post. The post had more than 200 likes but also had many others admonishing his statements. Police said Brinsley, who was black, approached the passenger window of a marked police car at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time and opened fire, striking Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu in the head. The officers -- one Hispanic, one Asian -- were on special patrol doing crime reduction work in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
