MMR on Entertainment News Updates: Lamar Odom's shad friend visits the hospital

Lamar Odom had a visitor Monday night ... a guy who claimed to be Lamar's assistant, insisting Lamar had summoned him ... but hospital officials smelled a rat. 

Our sources tell us the guy arrived around 11 PM and got on Lamar's floor when security stopped him. He said Lamar had called him and he came down from Vegas because Odom was insistent on seeing him.

Our sources say the guy has a history with Lamar and Odom's people believe he facilitated Lamar's drug use. The 2 men lived together in Vegas at some point.  We're told Lamar's management fired the guy the day Lamar went into the hospital.

Security was unbending and refused to let the man in. There was yelling and "a big scene" before he was escorted out.

Khloe was not at the hospital when it went down.

MMR on Entertainment News: Halle Berry Is a Divorcee again!!!

Halle Berry's divorce petition went under the radar, because she didn't use her real name, and now a legal fight is brewing over who's divorcing who.

TMZ obtained the docs Halle filed Monday ... one day before Olivier Martinez filed his own divorce petition.

Halle gives her name as Hal Maria. Hal is obviously short for Halle, and Maria is her middle name. We're told she did it for privacy reasons. 

Olivier Martinez is listed as Oliver Martin.

Halle's lawyer, Steve Kolodny, even listed their 2-year-old son Maceo as an alias -- Mac Martin.

As for whether filing under an alias is legal or not, it's somewhat unclear, and a judge may have to decide if Halle's petition is legit or if Olivier becomes the petitioner.

We do know this ... Halle did not properly serve Olivier ... she just handed him the documents, which she's not allowed to do. Under California law, a party to an action can't serve the other party.

One interesting thing in Halle's divorce document ... as we reported, the couple has a prenup, and now we know the document provides that each party is entitled to the earnings they made during the marriage ... at least according to Halle.

Authorities in Richland County, South Carolina, are investigating a video that surfaced Monday showing a uniformed officer aggressively confronting a high school student. Local station WIS-TV reports that county sheriff's deputies are investigating the incident, which took place on Monday at Spring Valley High School, according to school officials. The video, which appears to have been recorded on a cellphone by a classmate, shows a white male officer standing over a black female student sitting at her desk; moments later he grabs the student and flips her on her back. After dragging her across the floor, the officer says, "Hands behind your back—give me your hands." The video has no additional context as to what led to or followed the altercation.

"Parents are heartbroken as this is just another example of the intolerance that continues to be of issue in Richland County School District Two, particularly with families and children of color," a local black parents group wrote in a statement responding to the video. Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott told WIS-TV that the school resource officer (SRO) was responding to a student who was refusing to leave class. "The student was told she was under arrest for disturbing school and given instructions, which she again refused," Lott said. "The video then shows the student resisting and being arrested by the SRO."

The video is the latest in a series of disturbingly violent altercations involving school cops. As Mother Jones first reported in July, there have been at least 29 incidents in the United States since 2010 in which school-based police officers used questionable force against students in K-12 schools, many of which caused serious injuries, and in one case death. Data on use of force by school cops is lacking even as the number of officers on campus has ballooned over the past two decades, with little training or oversight.

Lil Wayne and Sarah Vivan‘s son, Dwayne Michael Carter III aka Tuney, turned 7-years-old on Thursday (October 22nd).

To celebrate, Wayne and Sarah took Tuney to Six Flags Over Georgia theme park in Atlanta. They was joined by Hood, Reginae, Jayde, Essence, and T@.

MMR on Ent News: Mariah's new boo is a billionaire

Mariah Carey has got a new boyfriend, TMZ has learned, a billionaire who's the 4th wealthiest person down under.

The guy is James Packer, a 47-year-old entertainment mogul who sold a media company and now owns a string of hotels and casinos around Australia and other countries. He's worth an estimated $4.6 billion, according to Forbes.

We got this pic of Mariah and James taken Friday in Capri, Italy. They're staying on Packer's yacht and we're told they'll be on the boat for "an extended vacation."  After Capri, it's on to Cannes and St. Tropez. 

As for how they met ... Brett Ratner. 

Sources close to Mariah tell us James has been aggressively pursuing Mariah for months, and he succeeded.

The Lorain Horizon Science Academy in Ohio is facing heat from the natural hair community after a copy of a letter to parents that included a ban on afro puffs and 'small twisted braids' was posted online.
The letter details changes to the dress code for the upcoming school year and includes the line:
Afro-puffs and small twisted braids, with our without rubberbands, are NOT permitted.
It's unclear what the administration means by small twisted braids, but if they are referring to box braids they are banning a protective style that black girls have worn for generations. Afro-puffs are essentially the black version of the ponytail (when pulled back our hair puffs out instead of laying down), and yet the rules do not have a ban on ponytails for students of other ethnicities.

Police are calling this a crime of the unthinkable, something that most people would never imagine doing. On Monday, police were called to a Louisiana Walmart under the suspicion that a customer was shoplifting food. According to the complaint, a Walmart worker radioed security about a suspicious woman in the meat aisle. Security cameras filmed 33-year-old Shaniqua Johnson shoving sausages under her shirt. CCTV footage then shows the woman walking to the bathroom, where she remained for at least 30 minutes. The male security guard says he knocked on the bathroom door several times but the woman did not respond. He then announced he was entering. What he found behind the door of the unlocked stall is something he said will “haunt his dreams forever.” The security guard reports when he entered the stall, Johnson was inappropriately pleasing herself with a Jimmy Dean package of sausage. He said that when he entered “She didn’t even stop. She just stared at me and kept going.”
