MMR INDIE CORNER WITH DAMARCUS

Damarcus, also known as D’Ville, was born in Danville, Illinois. Damarcus' love for his hometown, Danville led to his stage alias and he wasted no time discovering that he had a voice that can make you stop what you are doing and listen to him! He began his singing career as a young boy in his church choir growing up in Illinois. Damarcus soon learned that his gift was broader than simply knowing how to sing as he discovered he could pick up any instrument -from a guitar to a saxophone – and play by ear. Damarcus' love for music inspired him to pen his own lyrics which rounds out this amazing artist’s musical portfolio of natural talent. He’s passionate about his lyrics and ensures they are inspirational and motivational. Damarcus' passion shines through his music as it is often based on real life experiences that everyone can relate to. Damarcus has professionally recorded his own original music. He enjoys local success in NYC. Damarcus has quickly become the most sought-after R&B artist in the Sunshine State. Anytime any major R & B or Hip Hop Artist makes a stop in Florida, you can catch Damarcus warming up the crowd with his sultry smooth R&B style. Damarcus has opened up for Jagged Edge, Carl Thomas, 50 Cent, The Game, and Lloyd to name a few. Damarcus has a very distinct and unique voice that cannot be compared to anyone. It is certainly a voice that is unmistakenly… Damarcus. When Damarcus blesses your ears with his voice, it is clear that his purpose was to be heard. It won’t be long before Damarcus' talent spans the globe and he becomes a household name. He hopes to be added to the long list of artists who precede him creating the soundtrack of our lives.

Ent News with Rihanna

Leave it to Rihanna to tap effortlessly into her bad gal ways.  And by bad...we mean good.  When it comes to that sick bikini body anyway.  She hit the beaches of Barbados to drink some beers and show off her teeny bikini....in front of crowds of onlookers.

If a Woman Gets Drunk, Does She Have Any Accountability for What She Does Sexually?

Is this true or untrue?

Maria Lloyd, a well-known blogger for Your Black World, made a comment on Facebook about “drunken sεx” and whether or not this should play a part in how interactions between men and women are interpreted by the authorities.  Many of us know the scenario:  A man and woman get drunk and sεx occurs.  The woman says that she was rαped, and the man denies it.   Both were intoxicated, so the incident might be blurry to the both of them.
Most of us agree that no one deserves to be rαped, no matter how much they had to drink.  But if a woman is not responsible for things she said or did while under the influence, can the man be held responsible?  That’s the subject of debate.
Here is what Lloyd said:
I have read/written so many cases about women who had a drunken night on the town and wake up screaming rαpe the next day. It goes without saying that no one “deserves” to be taken advantage of while inebriated… But at what point do we hold adults accountable for their own poor decisions? Is it not possible that during your drunken night you actually gave consent and forgot the next morning? I’ve heard plenty of women brag about how good “drunk sεx” is… So, who’s to say these women weren’t in pursuit of drunk sεx and woke up blaming someone else for their risky behavior? Has anyone thought about why these women always seem to be alone when these situations occur? Where were their friends? Do they have a track record of getting drunk and píssing off their friends? If so, that’ll explain why they’re alone… No one wants to babysit a grown αss woman. I reiterate that these poor decisions should not equate to rαpe; however, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to acknowledge these situations as rαpe. Know your limit or don’t drink at all… This goes for men and women.

LeBron James’ Mother is Reportedly Marrying a Really Weird, Struggling Rapper

The Internet is all abuzz about the pending nuptials of LeBron James’ mother, Gloria.  Ms. James has announced that she is going to marry her boyfriend, a rapper by the name Da Real Lambo.   This is the same rapper who loves to live off of LeBron’s glory and hard work, since he recently took a bunch of pictures of himself on a yacht and wearing LeBron’s championship rings.  We doubt that he was the one who bought the yacht.
Blogger Terez Owens says that his sources are saying that LeBron’s future stepdaddy popped the question to his mother over Christmas and that the two are going to get married in the spring.  He also says that “It’s nice to see that LeBron is going to have a nice Jewish role model as his step daddy.”
We don’t know if he is joking about the Jewish part, but we assume he is joking in the part about him being a nice role model.

Actress Tamala Jones Had an Aneurysm and Her Boss Made Her Come to Work Anyway

Hollywood actress Tamala Jones suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm a little over a decade ago at the age of 23. After surviving the swollen, spouted blood vessel, she’s made it her mission to educate the community about aneurysms and maintaining your personal health.
Recently, Tamala decided to go public about overcoming the potentially life-threatening condition. She remembers the brutal pain as she shares what happened in her own words.
‘[I woke] up one morning with a massive headache; feeling like I had to use the bathroom, like I had to urinate really bad. When I got out of bed I had no balance. I was walking on my toes and I was stomping. I had no control over my body weight. I looked in the mirror and I’m telling you two seconds after I looked in that mirror I dropped and hit the floor.’
‘I kept hearing myself tell myself, “Get up, get up now. Get up, get up, get up…,” and I kind of woke up as if somebody shook me out of a sleep, and the whole right side of my body was numb. I called work and I told them, “Something’s wrong with me. I can’t come in. I have to go to the hospital.” They told me, “You need to come into work. This is the last day of shooting for this season, and we don’t have time to wait for you to go to the doctor’s office.’
‘I went to the hospital after work and the doctor thought that it was a miracle that I was even alive, walking or talking, or that I even worked an entire day before I got to him. After that, I started having seizures. I had MRIs [and] cat scans, and they found out that my aneurysm actually burst. Had it been on another side of my brain I probably would have been paralyzed forever—it was on the left side of my brain and was the size of a 50-cent piece. They said once that blood dried up I would get my feeling back.’
‘I had headaches for like three weeks. I took everything, and nothing helped—from sinus medicine to migraine medicine. I say that if you get it checked out right away when you have this headache and it’s continuously going and nothing works then you can save yourself. They can give you something to help you or they can remove it or whatever they need to do. But I felt like it was my duty as a survivor to speak about it.’
‘I mention the aneurysm to anybody that I can. Whenever I have a platform for people there that are listening. Because it’s something that happened to me and something that can happen to anybody in this world, if you are given warning then you can probably save your own life. So, I tell anybody. It doesn’t matter why I’m there speaking. I always bring up health some type of way—I segue into having a brain aneurysm at an early age. Whether it’s your heart or your head or your legs or your arms, if it’s too much pain, the doctor’s the only place to go. Not staying at home and wondering if this is ever going to go away. I just thought it was selfish of me not to even say what I survived or what I felt.’
This information is particularly important to black women because women are at a higher risk than men of forming aneurysms and African Americans are at a higher risks than other races. So, black women should pay attention to risk factors such as family history of aneurysm, smoking cigarettes or having hypertension.
Aneurysms are oftentimes asymptomatic until the blood vessel bursts or gets large enough to press on certain regions of the brain that may cause severe headaches, blurred vision, changes in speech or neck pain. Most aneurysms occur at the back of the head near the base of the brain, so neck pain may be common.
Symptoms of a ruptured brain aneurysm come on suddenly and include severe headaches, nausea and vomiting, sensitivity to light, fainting and/or seizures. Should any of these symptoms come on suddenly, get to the nearest hospital as soon as possible. It could mean the difference between life and death.
