MMR Ent News: Tracy Morgan may have permanent damages & never perform AGAIN

Actor Tracy Morgan is still recovering from injuries suffered in a six-vehicle accident in New Jersey on June 7. The former "Saturday Night Live" cast member and "30 Rock" star was riding in a limo bus when the accident occurred.

I can't believe Walmart is blaming me

Walmart's response Monday to a lawsuit filed by Tracy Morgan over the car crash that left him in critical condition elicited a response of its own on Tuesday from the recovering comedian -- and it doesn't sound like he's laughing. "I can't believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused," the former "Saturday Night Live" star said in a statement. Police say that a truck driven by Walmart employee Kevin Roper in the early morning hours of June 7 collided with the rear of a limo bus that was carrying Morgan and four others on the New JerseyTurnpike. A preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Boardsaid that Roper was traveling 20 mph over the speed limit and that he was almost at his drive time limit. he wreck left Morgan, 45, with broken ribs, a broken nose and a broken leg. Morgan's friend, comedian James McNair, was killed, and two others were injured. Roper pleaded not guilty in June to criminal charges that include vehicular homicide and assault by auto.

MMR around the World- Ebola confirmed in Texas patient; 1st case diagnosed in U.S.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed the first case of Ebola virus diagnosed in United States. The patient -- identified by KTVTWednesday as Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian national -- had recently flown here from Liberia to visit family. He was admitted on Sunday to an isolation unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas to be tested for Ebola after he began exhibiting symptoms.
"This is the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S., and the first case of this strain of Ebola diagnosed outside Africa," Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the CDC, said at a news conference Tuesday evening.
Frieden sought to reassure the public, stating "I have no doubt that we will control this importation, this case of Ebola, so it will not spread widely in this country." He acknowledged it was possible that "a handful" of others in close contact with the patient may have been exposed. He said those people would be tracked down, and he expressed confidence the disease would be contained. "I have no doubt we will stop it here," he said.

MMR abroad- White House intruder made it much deeper into building than previously disclosed

The homeless U.S. Army veteran who jumped a fence Sept. 19 and ran into the White House with a knife made it much deeper into the building than previously known.

Omar Gonzalez, who jumped the White House fence earlier this month and sprinted into the presidential mansion, made it all the way to the East Room — not far from the first family’s living quarters — before he was tackled by Secret Service agents, The Washington Post reported.

The intruder who scaled a White House fence and sprinted into the presidential mansion got much farther inside than previously disclosed, it was revealed Monday. Iraq War vet Omar Gonzalez, who was armed with a knife, dashed past a guard at the front door and ran all the way into the East Room halfway across the first floor of the building, The Washington Post reported. The 42-year-old finally was stopped when he was tackled by a “counterassault” agent at the doorway to the Green RoomIn getting that far, Gonzalez passed the staircase that provides access to theFirst Family’s living quarters on the second floor of the presidential mansion.
