MMR on News around the world- TSA failed to identify 73 workers 'linked to terrorism'

On the heels of Transportation Security Administration workers flunking a security test at airport checkpoints, the results of a new audit show that -- while the agency keeps a robust system for screening commercial airport workers -- it still failed to flag 73 airport workers "linked to terrorism."
Apparently, TSA does not have access to all the terror watchlist information it needs to make those judgments.
“The TSA did not identify these individuals through its vetting operations because it is not authorized to receive all terrorism-related categories under current interagency watch-listing policy,” the June 4 Inspector General report stated.
According to TSA data, the people in question were working for major airlines, airport venders and other employers.
The agency acknowledged that individuals in these categories “represented a potential transportation security threat,” according to the report.
To test the accuracy and effectiveness of TSA’s terrorism vetting procedures, the National Counterterrorism Center was asked to match more than 900,000 records of active aviation workers against its Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment database.

MMR on Sports- NBA FINALS

For better or worse, Matthew Dellavedova has a knack for making himself the story.
Stepping into Cleveland’s starting lineup for the injured All-Star Kyrie Irving on Sunday night, Dellavedova hit two free throws with 10.1 seconds left in overtime. He then harassed Stephen Curry into an air-ball jumper as the Cavaliers survived a furious rally by the Golden State Warriors for a 95-93 victory that evened the N.B.A. finals at one game apiece heading back to Cleveland on Tuesday night.
After eight full quarters and two overtimes, neither team has been able to achieve any meaningful separation, and LeBron James said the Cavaliers’ effort was a demonstration that they would not soon disappear.

Klay Thompson led Golden State with 34 points, but the usually high-scoring Warriors made only 8 of 35 3-point shots — many of them rushed from deep against a gritty Cleveland defense that was personified by Dellavedova.
Curry, the league’s most valuable player this season, said his shot “didn’t feel right” from the beginning and offered limited praise for Dellavedova, his unheralded opponent.
“He played hard and stuck to their game plan,” Curry said, adding: “I’m not going to let one game alter my confidence. I doubt this will happen again.”
James, however, saw Curry’s misfiring differently.
“It had everything to do with Delly,” James said. “He just kept a body on Steph. He made Steph work. He was spectacular, man, defensively.”
Forcing the Warriors into a tough, inelegant game more suited to the Eastern Conference, the Cavaliers did an excellent job trapping Curry and Thompson off the high screen. And Dellavedova bothered Curry by doggedly chasing him, not allowing Curry to free himself off the ball.

MMr on Ent News- Rob might sue his own family

Loader

If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online, you know the family is flummoxed by Rob and quite unsure about how to handle his issues.
Long considered a mess at best and a ticking time bomb at worst, rumors of Rob Kardashian suing Kris Jenner have surfaced online before.
Now, with every week his Momager and siblings embarrass him on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the more seriously he takes that idea.
Almost every episode of Season 10 has involved him in some way, while he has yet to appear on screen or get paid for the fodder he's become.
He's pissed off, and he's about ready to fight back.
First, there was the intervention, then they searched underwear drawer on camera, then Kim basically said he sucks and should be cut off.

MMR on Ent News- Bobby finding ways to take the edge off

0519-bobby-brown-baby-shower

Bobby Brown shook off his legal battle with Whitney Houston's family, and spent some time celebrating his expanding family ... at a coed baby shower for his wife.
Bobby and Alicia Brown had about 60 people at their Woodland Hills home over the weekend for some traditional baby shower games, including that clothes pin thing -- whatever ya do, don't say "baby" at the baby shower. Seriously?
Anyway, we're told it was a welcome change of pace for Bobby following his fight to be named Bobbi Kristina's legal guardian. As we first reported ... the judge eventually named him co-guardian with Pat Houston.
At the shower ... Alicia proudly showed off her belly, which got a henna tattoo makeover during the party. As for the sex of the baby -- we're told the couple wants to be surprised.
Alicia is due some time this summer.

MMR on News around the world- 2 Prisoners ESCAPED from MAXIMUM SECURITY

Image for the news result

The U.S. Marshals Service issued federal arrest warrants Sunday for two convicted killers who escaped from a maximum security prison in upstate New York over the weekend.
The warrants charge Richard Matt and David Sweat with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, according to William O'Toole, a U.S. Marshals Service spokesman. The warrants clear the way for the federal government to involve its considerable resources in the manhunt.
"Every resource available to us will be used in bringing these two men to justice," O'Toole said.
Also Sunday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the pair's capture.
"We're leaving no stone unturned," Maj. Charles Guess of the New York State Police said Sunday. "All available assets are being brought to bear."
Matt, 49, and Sweat, 35, were discovered missing from their cells Saturday morning during a "standing count" of inmates at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, state police said. The pair used power tools and decoys designed to look like their sleeping selves in the sophisticated plot, they said.
