Its almost a knowing thought that the Bronx has lost it's culture! That the Bronx, "Home of Hip Hop, Land of the Independent Artist or On the road to making it big" no longer houses venues that are known to inspire; give back or surpass expectations! Welp, on the corner of 174th Street and Boston Road, MMR has rediscovered the Bronx at Sunkofa Café and Gift Shop!!!

This fine black owned establishment has become the neighborhoods "safe place". A place to just be YOU and know that its OK! When speaking with one of the two owners, Kevin dished some secrets to this great place. He divulged that in business there are good times and bad; but you "gotta love what you do". Sunkofa hasn't been this gentleman's first business. He has owned many businesses over the 20+ years. He has live in many places of the world and finds that his partnership is what keeps the fire burning. He opens his doors to anyone who has a positive message to give to the community. Opened with the Idea that "We carry Items for Everyone" is simply just an understatement of the true potential of this business!

On Friday, August 2nd 2014 @Majormincradio & @photogox photography went to experience their newest inspirational event entitled "Words and Wings- Networking for Success" Hosted by Singer/Songwriter Kat Foxy and organized by Nyri

What an amazing a night. Filled with a wide array of Singers, Songwriter, Poets, Authors and MORE! The night was opened with a talented Author by the name of Sha Ames, who is currently a city official by day, who works with individuals of the HIV/AIDS community.

Her lasted fictional book entitled "Undetected" was inspired by the everyday person struggling with the disease. In speaking with her we discovered that she is in love with what she does for a living but she is more passionate about creating awareness to save lives! Others who joined the night with powerful messages about Life, Community awareness and living the dream was Karl Lawrence, who set out to take us on a journey through is prolific words of non-violence and awareness. He is too an author of a astounding book of poems entitled "Karl with a K"  

 Then there was

Be-The Poet who showed passion through spoken word! In hopes to feed the soul with knowledge of all we can be! Her energy was a surge through-out the venue, touching everyone at once!
Lastly we received the Indie artist Tabou TMF

who was the Headliner of the night. He came with a mission to serve his audience and THAT HE DID! He was passionate with every word spoken. With use of some Main-Stream tracks, he took us on his very own JOURNEY! Heads were bopping and the crowd was definitely MOVING to his RYTHM!  The night was EPIC, SENSATIONAL, PASSIONTE & PLEASING!

MMR Ent News: Instudio BRAWL with EX-Super Stars Danity Kane!

Not sure what's going on here, but it seems that now that Danity Kane has gone to DK3, there's some serious ish going on behind closed doors.
While it's not as dramatic as Elevator Gate (mainly because we don't have video....yet), it's a bit of a shocker to us that two of the three newly reunited "Lemonade" singers would be going at it inside a studio.
According to reports, Dawn & Aubrey got into a "violent brawl" during a disagreement at an L.A. studio last night.  TMZ - Dawn slugged Aubrey in the head with a closed fist.  The third member, Shannon Bex, reportedly tried to break up the fight.
