Man, 30, found dead after 8-hour wait in Bronx emergency room for rash
He walked into the Saint Barnabas Hospital emergency room complaining of a rash — and never made it out.
Instead, 30-year-old John Verrier was found dead in the waiting room eight hours after he arrived.
“He was found stiff, blue and cold,” a hospital worker told Eyewitness News. “He was there for a while.” “No one should sit in a waiting room that long,” Verrier’s anguished mother, Susan, told Eyewitness News.
The ill-fated man had received brief attention. His vitals were taken andhe was told to wait inside the packed waiting area, the staffer said.
Verrier’s family only learned the details of his demise after a report ran on Eyewitness News.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks might have a lot more drama going on than her reality show cameras can take.
Parks' husband Apollo Nida has been charged with bank fraud and identity theft, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Nida reportedly surrendered to authorities Friday.
In a written affidavit obtained by the newspaper, a U.S. Secret Service Agent charged that Nida created fake companies and fake bank accounts under real names in order to funnel stolen U.S. Treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into those accounts.
He was implicated by an alleged accomplice, Gayla St. Julien, who was arrested in September - the Journal-Constitution reports.
St. Julien reportedly told authorities that he was the one who orchestrated many of their fraudulent schemes, adding that he pocketed much more of the money than she got.

Black Men could stop getting arrested so much if
they stopped smoking so much weed?
Comments made by Martha MacCallum, a Fox News host, with regard to how to solve the high minority arrest rate, are traveling around fast. According to her, all minorities need to do is cut back on the pot.
If it could all be so simple.
On Monday MacCallum presented a solution for closing the arrest gap between Black and White Americans – African Americans, smoke less marijuana.
President Barack Obama recently said in an interview with The New Yorker that marijuana was not “more dangerous than alcohol.” He followed that statement with advice to not use the drug saying, “it’s a bad idea, a waste of time, not very healthy.”
Conservative radio personality Michael Graham told Fox News on Monday that the Obama administration “is screaming at me, ‘Put down the ice cream, stop eating those cookies!’” while at the same time “telling me, ‘Dude, pick up a bong, what’s the big deal.’”
He continued, “Of course the problem is, the more pot you smoke, the more you want the cookies and the ice cream.”
