MLB legend Joe Carter says he's "honored" to have been injected into the Drake vs. Meek Mill feud -- saying it's AWESOME that Drake used his image to go after Meek because "My kids feel I'm legit now."
Backstory -- Drake used an ICONIC image of Carter's Game 6 walk off homerun that lifted the Toronto Blue Jays over the Philadelphia Phillies back in 1993 as the cover art to his new diss track against Meek.

MMR on Ent News: Let's talk woman to woman

Kris Jenner went to Caitlyn's Tuesday to bury the hatchet ... TMZ has learned.
Kris' car was spotted leaving Caitlyn's Malibu home after their meeting ... their first meeting since the transformation.
Sources connected to the former couple tell us, Kris had not met Caitlyn. There was real bitterness following their split, made worse by Bruce who had some harsh things to say about Kris and her reality show during the Diane Sawyer interview.
We're told Kris is feeling bad that a nearly 30 year relationship has gone down in flames to the point they almost never even speak. On top of that, they share children and therefore will always be a family.
Our sources say they talked out some of their issues and it went well. We're told it got very personal ... as you know, there are multiple versions of what Kris knew and when she knew it.
As for the future, at least from Kris' side ... she's hopeful this is a fresh beginning.

Rap Twitter pretty much exploded last night. While Nicki Minaj was attempting to get Taylor Swift to check her white privilege — and then calling out the media for pitting two women against each other — Nicki’s boyfriend Meek Mill was bringing the motherfucking ruckus. Meek started off his evening by making fun of Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, but he quickly moved onto Drake, pretty much out of nowhere. Drake appeared on Meek’s song “Amen,” arguably Meek’s first real hit, and he also appears on “R.I.C.O.,” a track from Meek’s excellent new album Dreams Worth More Than Money. But now Meek is saying that he shouldn’t have allowed Drake onto the record because Drake didn’t write his own verse. Meek had some very strong opinions about this. Observe:

MMR News around the world: Hundreds bid farewell to woman who died in Texas jail cell

Family and friends of an Illinois woman found dead in a Texas jail remembered her Saturday as a "courageous voice" for social justice and promised to keep fighting for clarity on the circumstances surrounding her death.

Hundreds of people attended Sandra Bland's funeral near the Chicago suburb where she grew up. They celebrated her life with words and songs of praise, and her mother danced in the church aisle with her arms raised. She and other mourners, though, said they were still struggling to understand how a traffic stop for failing to use a turn signal escalated into a physical confrontation and landed her in the cell where authorities say she killed herself three days later.

The Harris County, Texas, medical examiner's office determined through an autopsy that Bland hanged herself with a plastic bag. The 28-year-old woman's family has questioned the finding, saying she was excited about starting a new job and wouldn't have taken her own life.

MMR Ent News- NFL player looses two fingers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback C.J. Wilson announced in a statement he intends to "step away" from the NFL while he recovers from a July 4 fireworks accident which resulted in the loss of two fingers, according to a statement from his agents Joel and Justin Turner acquired by Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper.

"On behalf of C.J. Wilson, he has decided to step away from the NFL at this time to focus on his immediate needs in recovery which are the foundation of his long-term health," the statement reads. "When CJ is fully healed and able to return to the game, he will then continue his career at that time."

MMR on Ent News- Bobbi Kristina dies at 22

 

Two days before she was found face-down in the bathtub at her home outside Atlanta in January, it seemed like Bobbi Kristina Brown's career might have been picking up.

"Let's start this career up&&moving OUT to TO YOU ALLLL quick shall we !?!???!" she said in an enthusiastic tweet.

It's not clear what projects she may have been working on, but they won't be completed now.

Brown, the daughter of late superstar Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, died Sunday at the age of 22, a representative of the Houston family said in a statement.

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family," the statement said. "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
