MMR around the world- Weed legal in NYC

After New York legalized medical marijuana this summer, Ted Berndt knew he had to get to Denver, Colorado.
Berndt, who owns an agri-business park an hour's drive north of Albany, New York, realized the clock had started ticking on a so-called "green rush" for anyone planning to cash in on growing and selling the drug.

"Three days after the law passed, I hopped a plane to Denver and met with a grower," Berndt said of his trip to a marijuana summit in Colorado, where cannabis is legal under state law for medicinal and recreational use."I got there and within 10 minutes I found the CEO of the company that I want to work with," Berndt said. "I started to find out as much as I could: to be a human sponge and learn as much as possible about cultivation, security and all the other things involved in the medical marijuana business."

MMR Ent News: Solange gets hitched

Solange Knowles marries Alan Ferguson in New Orleans; Beyonce, Jay Z attend

Solange Knowles marries Alan Ferguson in New Orleans

Solange Knowles is a married woman!
The musician, 28, exchanged vows with longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson, 51, a video director, in front of 200 guests at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans on Sunday, Nov. 16, People reports.
Solange's mom Tina Knowles -- plus big sister Beyonce, her husband Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy -- were all in attendance, as well as singer Janelle Monae, People reports. Solange's 10-year-old son from her first marriage, Daniel Julez Smith Jr., was also there to help his mom and new stepfather celebrate on their big day.

While guests wore shades of white and cream, the quirky yet stylish bride chose sandals and a backless cream-colored pantsuit with a cape instead of a traditional wedding dress and veil. Her bearded groom complemented her look in a white suit with gold-tipped shoes.

MMR on Bill Cosby Scandal

After Bill Cosby settled a civil lawsuit in 2006 alleging that he'd repeatedly sexually assaulted a woman, his image as America's dad may have been temporarily tarnished, but was far from destroyed.
But in recent weeks as allegations of other sexual assaults have taken hold in published reports and on social media, his rock-solid persona seems in danger of permanent erosion.
"It's not like, if you have goodwill, you can borrow against that," says Eric B. Dezenhall, a Washington-based crisis management consultant. "And if your goal is to get everybody to un-remember what they just heard — well, that's just not doable."Cosby, 77, has never been charged with a crime and so far has steadfastly refused to address the uproar. He's granted few in-person interviews to media. And an attempt to put out the fire with a positive social media buzz backfired, generating criticism rather than praise.
