MMR on News in your area: Woman pours hot grits on a man



A Maryland woman has been charged with assault after she allegedly poured hot grits on a sleeping man and then beat him with a baseball bat.
Alexis Staton poured the food on the man while he was napping inside her home in Capitol Heights on July 31, according to cops.When the victim jumped out of bed in shock, the 42-year-old struck him in the head with a baseball bat.
The victim escaped the house with burns to his body and his head bleeding, according to an arrest warrant.
