MMR on News in your area: Woman dies after being stabbed by estranged husband

A body is removed from an apartment on E. 141st St. in the Bronx on Monday. Police said a woman was stabbed to death by her estranged husband, who then took his life.
A 34-year-old Bronx woman died after her estranged husband stabbed her in the chest in an apparent murder-suicide Monday morning, police said. Nadia Saavedra’s 41-year-old husband, whose name was not immediately released, plunged a knife into her chest three times before driving the blade into his own chest, according to cops. Both died in Saavedra’s E. 141st St. apartment near Third Ave. in Mott Haven shortly before 8 a.m.
